Hilltop Residential is seeking an Assistant Community Director for Canal Street Flats in Houston. You will supervise leasing activities, engage residents, and train staff while maintaining performance standards.

The role requires strong customer service, leasing skills, and the ability to manage rent collection and budgeting tasks. A reliable schedule and a valid driver’s license are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience as Assistant Property Manager at a conventional apartment community.
• Yardi experience is required.
• Strong customer service and leasing skills are required.
• Ability to work a varied schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Valid driver’s license or access to reliable transportation.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel & Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Address the concerns of current and prospective residents in a friendly and professional manner.
• Leads set the standard on how Leasing Agents engage residents; tours and leases as necessary.
• Assists in training staff and models effective sales techniques daily.
• Leads rent collection efforts, including delinquent residents; may involve lease termination and legal action if necessary.
• Assist in managing the property’s budget to increase net operating income.
• Inspect apartments during move-ins/move-outs and walk the community as needed.
• Act as Property Manager in the Property Manager’s absence.
