Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an Assistant Commissioning Manager to lead testing and commissioning for HV, BESS, and PV projects across the United States. You will work with the Commissioning Manager and SMEs to ensure systems are installed, tested, and commissioned per project requirements.

This hybrid role requires onsite presence at job sites with some remote work, coordinating with engineering, construction, and QA teams to deliver high‑quality renewable energy assets.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of testing and commissioning on utility-scale electrical systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power systems, inverters, transformers, and electrical infrastructure.
• Experience managing project teams and coordinating with stakeholders.
• Excellent problem-solving, organization, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the project commissioning team, providing guidance and support.
• Report daily on project status to the Commissioning Manager.
• Develop commissioning plans, procedures, and milestone deliverables.
• Coordinate with OEMs on equipment testing and commissioning activities.
• Synchronize pre-commissioning and commissioning tests for BESS, HV, PV plants.
• Ensure safety, environmental compliance, and standards adherence.
• Maintain schedules and resource plans; update weekly.
• Develop lessons learned and equipment warranty tracking logs.
