Job summary

Madison Reed is seeking an Assistant Colorist in Los Angeles to support licensed colorists and the shift lead, delivering a seamless guest experience from arrival to departure. You’ll learn services, assist in color applications, shampooing, conditioning, and product recommendations while maintaining a clean, organized shop.

You’ll train toward becoming a licensed colorist within 3–9 months. The role offers base hourly pay plus commissions and tips, with earnings ranging from $28 to $30 per hour

Qualifications

• Active cosmetology license in the state you are applying.
• Entry level customer service or retail experience preferred in salon/beauty.
• Effective communication, problem solving and people skills in a fast paced environment.
• Comfortable operating point of sale systems.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate teamwork to provide a guest experience aligned with company values.
• Assist in finishing services and shampooing, conditioning, styling and add-on treatments.
• Contribute to achieving monthly sales goals and KPIs (retail, services, memberships).
• Maintain cleanliness, merchandising, inventory, and asset security in the Hair Color Bar.
• Follow Madison Reed systems, policies, processes and procedures.
