Madison Reed Hair Color Bar in Redondo Beach, CA is seeking an Assistant Colorist in training to support licensed colorists and Shift Lead while learning color theory and service execution. You will assist with consultations, product knowledge, shampooing and conditioning, and ensuring a seamless guest experience.

The role offers base hourly pay, commissions, and tips, with potential earnings for this location ranging from $28.50 - $30.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Active cosmetology license in the applying state.
• Entry level experience in customer service or retail; beauty industry preferred.
• Excellent communication and people skills for a fast-paced retail/salon.
• Comfortable operating point of sale systems.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist behind-the-chair services including shampooing, conditioning, styling, and toner services.
• Support in finishing services and blowouts to enhance guest experience.
• Assist in achieving sales goals (retail, memberships, services).
• Maintain cleanliness, merchandising, and inventory of the Hair Color Bar.
• Follow Madison Reed systems, policies, and procedures.
• Help grow revenue by promoting memberships, subscriptions, and home care products.
