Job summary

Madison Reed is hiring an Assistant Colorist to support Licensed Colorists and the Shift Lead, delivering a seamless guest experience from arrival to departure. You will learn services, assist in coloring, shampooing, styling and product recommendations while working toward promotion to Licensed Colorist within 3–9 months.

The role offers base hourly pay plus commissions and tips, with potential earnings in the $28–$30 per hour range at this location.

Qualifications

• Active cosmetology license in state of application.
• Entry level experience in customer service or retail welcome; beauty industry preferred.
• Strong communication, problem solving and people skills in fast-paced retail or salon.
• Comfortable using point of sale systems.
• Fluent English communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist in finishing services and shampooing/conditioning, styling and blowouts.
• Support licensed colorists and shift lead to ensure guest satisfaction from arrival to departure.
• Help achieve monthly sales goals including retail, services, memberships.
• Maintain clean, organized work environment and protect store assets.
• Learn color theory and behind-the-chair skills for career growth at Madison Reed.
