Madison Reed is seeking an Assistant Colorist to support Licensed Colorists and Shift Lead, delivering a seamless guest experience from arrival to departure while learning services and pursuing progression to Licensed Colorist within 3–9 months.

This role involves color consultations, shampooing, conditioning, blowouts, and service support, with compensation consisting of base hourly pay, commissions, and tips. Potential earnings range $23.50–$24.50 per hour, depending on performance and tenure.

Qualifications

• Active cosmetology license in the state you are applying.
• Entry level experience in customer service or retail; salon or beauty industry experience preferred.
• Effective communication, strong problem solving and people skills in a fast-paced retail or salon environment.
• Comfortable operating point of sale systems
• Fluency in English

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate teamwork to deliver a guest experience aligned with company values.
• Assist in finishing services; shampooing, conditioning, styling, blowouts, toners and add-on services.
• Contribute to achieving monthly sales goals including retail and memberships.
• Maintain cleanliness, merchandising and inventory in the Hair Color Bar.
• Follow Madison Reed systems, policies, and procedures.
