Job summary

Madison Reed seeks an Assistant Colorist to support Licensed Colorists and learn toward becoming a Licensed Colorist. You’ll help guests choose color, perform basic services, and ensure a smooth experience from arrival to departure.

The role offers base hourly pay, commissions and tips, with potential earnings of $26.82-$28.82 per hour for this location; compensation depends on performance, tenure and chair time.

Qualifications

• Active cosmetology license in the applying state.
• Entry-level experience in customer service or retail preferred.
• Excellent communication and people skills in a fast-paced setting.
• Comfortable using point-of-sale (POS) systems.

Responsibilities

• Support licensed colorists to deliver guests a seamless experience.
• Assist in shampooing, finishing services, styling and basic color services.
• Help achieve monthly sales goals through services, memberships and retail.
• Maintain cleanliness, merchandising, inventory, and asset security.
• Adhere to Madison Reed policies and procedures.
