Job summary

Madison Reed is seeking an Assistant Colorist to support Licensed Colorists and the Shift Lead, delivering a seamless guest experience from arrival to departure as you learn the services and work toward your next role. You will master consultations, hair care products, shampooing, conditioning, blowouts, and the unlimited roots membership while learning to connect with guests and teammates.

This role is in training for promotion to Licensed Colorist in 3–9 months and may be full or part time.

Qualifications

• Active cosmetology license in the state you are applying.
• Entry level experience in customer service or retail; salon/beauty preferred.
• Excellent communication and problem solving in a fast-paced retail or salon.
• Comfortable operating point of sale systems.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate teamwork to provide a guest experience aligned with company values.
• Assist in finishing services, shampooing, conditioning, styling, blowouts and color-related add-ons as requested.
• Contribute to achieving monthly sales goals including retail, services and memberships.
• Keep the Hair Color Bar clean, merchandised, and secure.
• Adhere to Madison Reed policies, processes, and procedures.
• Drive revenue through service tickets, memberships, and product sales.
• Learn and progress toward Licensed Colorist through on-the-job training.
• Colorist-to-Colorist training to grow within Madison Reed.
