Job summary
Madison Reed Hair Color Bar is seeking an Assistant Colorist to learn under licensed colorists and a shift lead, delivering guest experiences from arrival to departure. You’ll assist with consultations, shampoos, blowouts, and color services while supporting a busy, friendly team.
The role offers base hourly pay plus commissions and tips, with potential earnings in the $28–$30 per hour range at this location. Training to become a Licensed Colorist is provided and encouraged.
Qualifications
- Active cosmetology license in the state of application.
- Entry-level experience in customer service or retail; salon/beauty industry preferred.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced retail or salon environment.
- Comfortable operating point of sale systems.
- Fluency in English.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate teamwork to provide a guest experience aligned with company values.
- Assist in finishing services and shampooing, conditioning, styling and treatments.
- Contribute to achieving monthly sales goals, including retail and services.
- Ensure the Hair Color Bar meets cleanliness, merchandising and inventory standards.
- Adhere to Madison Reed policies and procedures.
- Support ongoing training to advance toward Licensed Colorist.
