Job summary

Madison Reed Hair Color Bar in Thousand Oaks, CA is seeking an Assistant Colorist who will support Licensed Colorists and the Shift Lead to deliver an exceptional guest experience from arrival to departure. You will learn consultations, color theory, services, and product knowledge while aiming for promotion to a Licensed Colorist within 3–9 months.

Compensation includes base hourly pay, commissions, and tips with potential earnings in the $28.50–$30.50 per hour range for this location.

Qualifications

• Active cosmetology license in the state you are applying.
• Entry level experience in customer service or retail sales; salon/beauty industry preferred.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills; fast-paced retail/salon environment.
• Comfortable operating point of sale systems.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Support Licensed Colorists and Shift Lead to ensure a seamless guest experience.
• Assist in finishing services, shampooing, conditioning, styling, blowouts, and toner applications.
• Contribute to achieving monthly sales goals including retail, services, and memberships.
• Maintain cleanliness, merchandising, inventory, and asset security in the Hair Color Bar.
• Follow Madison Reed systems, policies, and procedures.
