Job summary

Sweetgreen in Houston is seeking an Assistant Coach (Assistant General Manager) to lead a fast-paced team, drive guest experiences, and push operational excellence using data-driven insights.

You will mentor staff, partner with the Head Coach on goals, ensure food safety, scheduling, and budget adherence, and grow into a stronger leader within our real-food culture, with a focus on coaching, development, and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a restaurant management/supervisory role
• Food Handler or ServSafe certification
• Must be available to work a minimum of 30 hours per week
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Mentor team members to become future leaders; partner with Head Coach on goals and performance
• Drive operational excellence and scheduling; manage controllable costs and use Ops Dashboard insights
• Uphold food safety standards; ensure cleanliness, equipment maintenance, and audit readiness
• Deliver exceptional guest experiences across in-store and digital channels
• Lead daily operations and assist with the Shift Leader/Kitchen Lead/Team Member duties as needed
