Job summary

Sweetgreen is seeking an Assistant Coach (Assistant General Manager) to lead a fast casual team, drive operational excellence, and mentor staff to deliver exceptional guest experiences. You will partner with the Head Coach to set goals, monitor performance, and use data-driven insights to improve store operations and customer satisfaction.

Ideal candidates bring restaurant leadership experience, strong communication, scheduling expertise, and a commitment to real food and healthy communities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a restaurant management/supervisory role.
• Experience managing and developing 6+ team members per shift.
• Food Handler or ServSafe certification.
• Must be available to work a minimum of 30 hours per week.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead the store as a hands-on leader, partnering with the Head Coach to set goals and track performance.
• Mentor team members to become future leaders and ensure exceptional guest experiences.
• Drive operational excellence and use data-driven insights from the Ops Dashboard to guide decisions.
• Oversee hiring, onboarding, and training, and manage scheduling, safety, and quality.
• Support daily operations with effective systems, processes and task prioritization.
