Job summary

Sweetgreen is seeking an Assistant Coach (Assistant General Manager) to lead and mentor the team, partner with the Head Coach, and steer store operations to deliver exceptional guest experiences using data-driven insights.

You’ll focus on hiring and developing staff, maintaining food safety standards, managing costs, and using the Ops Dashboard to drive sales and customer satisfaction in a fast-casual environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a restaurant management/supervisory role
• Experience managing and developing 6+ team members per shift
• Food Handler or ServSafe certification
• Must be available to work a minimum of 30 hours per week
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the team; partner with Head Coach on goals and performance; use data-driven insights to optimize guest experience
• Maintain food safety standards and equipment upkeep; promptly resolve facility, supply, and quality issues
• Drive guest satisfaction and brand standards through coaching, scheduling, and effective communication
• Help manage controllable costs, schedules, and sales initiatives with the Head Coach
