Job summary

Sweetgreen is seeking an Assistant Coach (Assistant General Manager) in Michigan to lead and mentor a fast‑casual team, drive daily operations, and ensure exceptional guest experiences. You’ll partner with the Head Coach to set goals, monitor performance, and deploy data‑driven insights to run a healthier, real‑food focused store.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years of restaurant management, ServSafe certification, and a proven ability to manage multiple team members while maintaining food safety

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a restaurant management/supervisory role.
• Experience managing and developing 6+ team members per shift.
• Food Handler or ServSafe certification.
• Must be available to work a minimum of 30 hours per week.
• Must be 18 years of age or older and authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Inspire and coach the team while driving operational excellence.
• Partner with the Head Coach to set goals and track performance.
• Use data‑driven insights to guide guest experiences and store performance.
• Oversee hiring, onboarding, and training to build a strong team.
• Ensure food safety, cleanliness, and equipment maintenance.
• Manage schedules, controllable costs, and execution of strategic initiatives.
