Job summary

Sweetgreen seeks an Assistant Coach (Assistant General Manager) in Oakland, CA to lead ops, mentor the team, and drive guest experiences through real food. You will partner with the Head Coach to set goals, track performance, and deploy hands-on coaching to ensure high standards.

You will oversee food safety, scheduling, and financial performance, using data to navigate challenges and improve store metrics.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a restaurant management/supervisory role
• Experience developing 6+ team members per shift
• Food Handler or ServSafe certification
• Available to work a minimum of 30 hours per week
• Must be 18 years or older and authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor team, partner with Head Coach on goals and performance
• Uphold food safety, cleanliness, and equipment standards across the store
• Deliver exceptional guest experiences with data-driven decisions
• Manage controllable costs and scheduling to drive sales
• Oversee daily operations and ensure smooth execution
