Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated in Malvern, PA is seeking an Assistant Chief Engineer to lead and support the engineering team in maintaining and optimizing facility systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical installations. The role emphasizes safety, cost-saving maintenance, and strong customer service.

You will supervise, mentor, and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance, respond to alarms, and ensure OSHA and JLL safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; technical training or degree preferred.
• Minimum of two years of technical experience in building engineering (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and maintenance).
• Trade school or apprenticeship in electrical/HVAC/plumbing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility systems.
• Analyze and troubleshoot building systems to resolve malfunctions.
• Use CMMS to manage work orders and preventive maintenance in line with SLAs and KPIs.
• Lead and mentor team members in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and related areas.
• Monitor Building Automation Systems and respond to alarms with effective resolutions.
• Maintain records of rounds, readings, refrigerant logs, safety policies, and OSHA/JLL compliance.
• Conduct scheduled facility rounds and log issues for resolution.
