Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is looking for an Assistant Chief Engineer to lead the engineering team and oversee the safe operation of building systems at our Dallas site. This on-site role requires supervising contractors, implementing preventive maintenance, and guiding the team to meet service standards.

You will maintain CMMS records, prepare operations reports, respond to emergencies, and coordinate with clients and tenants to ensure high-quality facilities management.

Qualifications

• Trade school education or equivalent desirable.
• Leadership or supervisory experience.
• EPA Universal CFC certification or willingness to obtain within first year.
• Experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing or carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Under the Chief Engineer’s direction, supervise and direct contractors and monitor performance.
• Assist the Chief Engineer in the preventive maintenance program.
• Train and supervise to expand the engineering team’s capabilities.
• Maintain CMMS and complete tenant service requests.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly operations and mechanical reports.
• Respond to emergencies and communicate with clients/tenants.
• Perform facility inspections and safety/compliance tasks.
