Job summary

U-Haul in Richmond, CA is seeking an Assistant General Manager to oversee daily center operations when the General Manager is absent. You will lead a team, make on-the-spot decisions, and ensure a strong first impression for customers.

This role offers hands-on training through U-Haul University and includes benefits such as medical plans and retirement options. A high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and leadership and customer service experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Driver’s license and ability to maintain a clean driving record.
• Leadership experience in any form.
• Customer service experience.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts.

Responsibilities

• Run daily operations of center in General Manager’s absence.
• Make moment-to-moment decisions to allocate time and resources to appropriate projects.
• Manage and assign your team members to ensure that customers receive an excellent first impression and the highest quality of care.
• Miscellaneous duties such as installing hitches, brake controllers, etc.
• Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
