Job summary

Wolfoods seeks an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for an on-site, live-in role at a rustic summer camp. You will oversee all prep and production for designated day parts, supervise staff, and ensure strict allergen safety protocols in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

The role demands leadership, hands-on scratch cooking, and the ability to thrive under pressure while managing inventory and daily reporting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch baking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date.
• Strong leadership, scratch baking, problem-solving abilities; able to adapt with ingredients.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff to maintain high-energy operations.
• Oversee all prep, production, portion control, and meal service.
• Manage allergen safety protocols (Kosher, Nut-Free, Gluten-Free, Vegan, etc.) and sanitation standards.
• Assist with inventory and daily reporting.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen, campers, and camp leadership.
