Job summary

Dieterich Bank is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager for our Chester branch. The role focuses on training front-line staff, addressing performance and compliance, and supporting branch performance. You will model superior service while ensuring adherence to bank policies and industry regulations.

Ideal candidates bring 1–2 years in customer service (banking a plus) and are prepared to travel to assist other branches as needed while maintaining confidentiality for customers and staff.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of customer service experience; banking experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to train staff and provide input to performance appraisals.
• Strong decision-making and adherence to bank policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Train front-line staff on tasks and standards.
• Contribute to performance appraisals for front-line staff.
• Make and communicate sound decisions based on bank policies.
• Ensure policies and procedures are followed and fraud risk is minimized.
• Support branch business development and community involvement.
• Recommend new products/services and process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and bank policies.
• Exercise good judgment to detect potential fraud.
• Foster a positive, respectful work culture.
• Manage multiple tasks and adapt to change under pressure.
• Assist Branch Manager in achieving performance goals.
• Provide staff coverage for other branches as needed, including travel.
• Maintain confidentiality of customer and employee information.
