Job summary

Qualifications

• High school graduate.
• Two years of cash handling experience, preferably in a financial institution.
• 1–2 years of member service or sales experience.
• 1–2 years experience in supervision of others.
• Advanced computer skills; proficient MS Office.
• Excellent time management skills; Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow up with others regarding information needed or provided.
• Ability to work independently, self-starter, energetic.
• Able to handle highly confidential information with discretion.
• Detail oriented; able to adhere to tight deadlines.
• Able to produce high-quality work in an efficient and timely manner.
• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability by being able to discern between conflicting priorities and reprioritize as business needs dictate.
• Embraces change.

Responsibilities

• Shares responsibility for the operation of the branch in the absence of other leadership and has overall responsibility for the branch.
• Has a thorough knowledge of Credit Union policy and procedure and applies this knowledge in the operation and supervision of the branch.
• Maintain a highly motivated, well-trained staff and effective employee relations. Scheduling staff and ensuring adequate staffing for efficient branch operation.
• Resolves operational problems with staff and other branch personnel; approves transactions and answers operational questions for branch staff.
• Back-up support for member services staff to process cash transactions and assist with account openings and transactions.
• Engage members in meaningful financial conversations and recommend services to improve their financial lives.
• Serve as a role model for team members and provide an excellent member experience.
• Identify and resolve more complex issues as a resource.
• Perform Branch opening/closing procedures and Saturday Supervisor rotation.
• Follow all policies to maintain accuracy, manage risk, prevent fraud, and protect members.
• Assure proper maintenance, cleanliness, and security of the work area.
