Qualifications

  • High school graduate.

  • Advanced computer skills; proficient MS Office.
  • Excellent time management skills; Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to follow up with others regarding information needed or provided.
  • Ability to work independently, self-starter, energetic.
  • Able to handle highly confidential information with discretion.
  • Detail oriented; able to adhere to tight deadlines.
  • Able to produce high-quality work in an efficient and timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a highly motivated, well-trained staff and effective employee relations. Scheduling staff and ensuring adequate staffing for efficient branch operation.
  • Resolves operational problems with staff and other branch personnel; approves transactions and answers operational questions for branch staff.
  • Back-up support for member services staff to process cash transactions and assist with account openings and transactions.
  • Engage members in meaningful financial conversations and recommend services to improve their financial lives.
  • Serve as a role model for team members and provide an excellent member experience.
  • Identify and resolve more complex issues as a resource.
  • Perform Branch opening/closing procedures and Saturday Supervisor rotation.
  • Follow all policies to maintain accuracy, manage risk, prevent fraud, and protect members.
  • Assure proper maintenance, cleanliness, and security of the work area.

Position Purpose

To assist the Branch Manager in guiding member services staff in meeting organizational, financial, operational, service, and growth plans.

Reporting Relationships

This position reports to the Branch Manager.

Essential Functions and Accountabilities
  • Shares responsibility for the operation of the branch in the absence of other leadership and has overall responsibility for the branch
  • Has a thorough knowledge of Credit Union policy and procedure and applies this knowledge in the operation and supervision of the branch. Holds employees accountable for standards
  • Maintain a highly motivated, well-trained staff and effective employee relations. Tasks include but are not limited to scheduling staff and ensuring adequate staffing for efficient branch operation
  • Resolves operational problems with staff and other branch personnel for solutions or modifications to operations. Responsible for approving transactions, signing off on various operations duties, and answering operational questions for branch staff
  • Back-up support for member services staff to include but not limited to processing cash transactions, maintaining and balancing a cash drawer, helping to resolve member concerns, assisting with account opening, and processing account transactions effectively
  • Engage members in meaningful financial conversations that include understanding what is important to them and recommend services, when appropriate, to improve their financial lives further
  • Serve as a role model for others on the team in providing an excellent experience for members
  • Act as a resource to identify and resolve more complex issues
  • Perform Branch opening/closing procedures and Saturday Supervisor rotation as scheduled
  • Follow all policies and procedures required to maintain accuracy, manage risk, prevent fraud, and protect members
  • Assure proper maintenance, cleanliness, and security of work area, desk, equipment, etc.
  • Perform other duties as supervisors require and assist other departments when necessary
