Eastern Bank is seeking an accomplished retail banking professional to support daily branch operations and lead a sales-focused team. You will coach staff, drive personal sales goals, and ensure excellent customer service while upholding compliance and auditing standards.

The role focuses on building product knowledge, supervising staff, and contributing to branch performance under the Branch Manager. A strong background in retail banking and supervisory duties is essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to build relationships and strong alliances across the organization.
• Must quickly gain understanding of bank products and services and build knowledge.
• Understand the "big picture" in banking and how products generate revenue.
• 2-4 years retail banking experience preferred.
• 1-2 years supervisory experience required; experience in retail banking environment strongly preferred.
• History of solid sales and service success.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily management of a banking office under the branch manager.
• Achieve personal sales goals and guide sales activities toward branch goals; coach staff.
• Understand major aspects of the retail incentive plan and business loans to coach staff.
• Oversee daily branch operations including overdraft and vault management, schedules, and opening/closing.
• Ensure branch adherence to audit/compliance requirements.
• Manage customer service levels within the branch and act as manager on duty when needed.
• May deliver performance appraisals as directed by Branch Manager.
• Develop understanding of teller functions.
