Job summary

engineeredfloors is seeking an Assistant Manager of Business Development to oversee daily operations of the Commercial Business Development team while serving as an individual contributor. You will ensure timely customer support, sample fulfillment, pricing quotations, CRM maintenance, and product assistance to support growth and satisfaction.

The role involves supervising Business Development representatives, including workload management, coaching, scheduling, training, and timecard approval

Qualifications

• Past supervisory or team leadership experience.
• High School diploma or GED; college preferred.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience supporting customer-facing operations.
• Experience with CRM platforms and order management systems.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel with data analysis and PivotTables.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the order entry process with workload balance and SLAs.
• Maintain customer account information for accurate orders and sales activity.
• Manage time sheets for Business Development.
• Develop onboarding and training programs for new sales associates.
• Collaborate with Sample Department to resolve issues.
• Analyze freight costs for shipping samples.
• Monitor team productivity and service levels.
• Provide coaching and performance feedback.
• Foster a customer-focused culture across departments.
• Develop departmental procedures and process improvements.
• Participate in recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding.
• Assist in employee development and succession planning.
• Create and analyze operational reports and metrics.
• Escalate service and order fulfillment issues.
• Ensure CRM data quality and adherence to standards.
