Qualifications

  • Must be a member of the Massachusetts bar and a practicing attorney.
  • At least five years of experience as an attorney, preferably in state criminal practice.
  • Knowledge of MA statutes on money laundering, illegal gaming, larceny, DV and sexual assault is desirable.
  • Trial experience in Superior Court or US District Court is advantageous.
  • Ability to handle a large caseload and appear in court; strong writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate and prosecute gaming-related crimes and related financial crimes.
  • Lead investigations in coordination with State Police and other prosecutors.
  • Screen potential cases and liaise with stakeholders; participate in training and some district court coverage.
  • Work cohesively with the Office of the Attorney General staff to support investigations.
