Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Assistant Account Manager to support the Account Manager at the Chicago post. The role involves supervising security staff, coordinating day-to-day operations, training, and ensuring adherence to post orders and client instructions.

This position includes a comprehensive onboarding course and ongoing development. Compensation is $102,892 per year, with medical, dental, vision, life, disability insurance, paid holidays and a retirement plan.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of professional-level experience; security industry preferred.
• Valid state Guard License with background check and drug test.
• Driving positions require a valid license, clean driving record.
• Energetic, initiative-driven, strong customer service orientation.
• Professional, articulate with good judgment.
• Ability to train and coach others and enforce policies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; team player.
• Available to work outside normal shift schedule; 24/7 on-call.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects (technical and managerial) of executing the security contract.
• Supervise shift supervisors and security professionals; monitor performance.
• Maintain post orders and training information; keep site organized.
• Conduct interviews and on-the-job training for new staff.
• Oversee reports, logs, and pass-downs for the security department.
• Manage sub-units (fire control, command center, loading docks).
• Respond to incidents and ensure proper reporting and notifications.
• Address personnel issues; recommend counseling or disciplinary actions.
• Respond to client/site emergencies and maintain client relationships.
• May perform security duties up to 50% of time when needed.
