Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring for an Assistant Account Manager in Chicago, IL. The role leads supervisory and training activities to support the Account Manager in executing security contracts at the client site.

You will oversee post operations, ensure proper documentation, and train new staff as part of a comprehensive onboarding program. The position requires strong management experience in security, excellent communication, and the ability to engage with clients professionally.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3–5 years of professional-level experience in security management or related field.
• Must possess a valid state Guard License or be issued one prior to employment; background check and pre-employment drug/alcohol test required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with coordination of all aspects of executing the security contract at the location under the Account Manager.
• Supervise shift supervisors or Security Professionals; motivate, coach, and train staff; evaluate performance and recommend assignments.
• Maintain Post Order manuals and training information; ensure post sites are maintained, cleaned, and organized.
• Conduct interviews and onboard new employees; provide on-the-job training with Shift Supervisors.
• Oversee reports, logs, and pass downs; distribute communications to staff; manage sub-units within the Security Department.
• Respond to incidents; ensure proper reporting and timely notification of appropriate parties.
• Identify personnel issues and coordinate with Account Manager or Field Supervisor; may write reports or assist investigations.
• Recommend counseling or disciplinary actions as directed; may execute actions under supervision.
