Position Purpose:
The Asset Protection Specialist is primarily responsible for preventing financial loss caused by theft and fraud, supporting safety and environmental program compliance across assigned store(s). Responsibilities include using tools to minimize loss, such as identifying theft and fraud incidents, reviewing CCTV and exception reports, monitoring physical security, auditing Electronic Article Surveillance, and promoting a shrink elimination culture. Additional duties involve preparing detailed case reports, preserving evidence, interacting with law enforcement, and testifying in court. The specialist must report hazards, minimize injury risks, demonstrate integrity, respond to asset protection and operational concerns, and focus on store-specific objectives while supporting key responsibilities.
