Job summary

Nordstrom Inc. is seeking an Asset Protection Agent in Bloomington, MN to safeguard customers, associates, and merchandise while supporting the store’s Emergency Response Team. You will investigate incidents, monitor surveillance, and coordinate with local law enforcement as needed.

The role requires a valid security license where applicable, strong judgment, and excellent communication. You will participate in audits, trainings, and ongoing loss-prevention efforts in a fast-paced retail

Responsibilities

• Resolve theft with sound judgment and conduct quality apprehensions following policy and AP guidance.
• Identify theft trends using technology, reporting, and surveillance tactics.
• Support shrinkage reduction by implementing action plans and merchandise protection standards.
• Investigate internal theft by gathering evidence and coordinating with AP leadership and Investigation teams.
• Use video systems and RFID data to monitor merchandise movements and aid investigations.
• Respond to and report store security and emergency incidents, including medical emergencies.
• Lead security audits and shrinkage awareness training with store teams and ERT.
• Participate in store emergency response training and stand ready for drills and real events.
