Nordstrom, Inc. is seeking an Asset Protection Agent in Bloomington to safeguard customers, teams and merchandise.

The role partners with the store Emergency Response Team to prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergencies while mitigating shrinkage and investigating theft. The position focuses on three pillars: Protect People, Protect Physical Spaces, and Support Product Accuracy, with duties ranging from surveillance and reporting to audits and cross-functional teamwork with leadership

Qualifications

• A valid security license may be required in multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Resolve theft using sound judgment and proper apprehensions in high shrinkage areas.
• Identify theft trends with technology, reporting, and surveillance.
• Drive shrinkage reduction through action plans and protection standards.
• Investigate internal theft with evidence gathering and collaboration with AP Leadership.
• Use video systems to monitor theft activity and support investigations.
• Leverage RFID data to track merchandise movement and aid investigations.
• Maintain safety and security of customers and employees, reporting incidents.
• Lead security audits and shrinkage awareness training within the store.
• Serve on the Emergency Response Team and participate in training.
• Prepare prompt reports for high-profile incidents and investigations.
• Build partnerships with store leaders and local law enforcement.
