Job summary

Nordstrom is seeking a Manager of Asset Protection to lead store AP teams, drive shrink reduction, and ensure safety and profitability.

You will partner with store leadership, oversee investigations, budgeting, and compliance, and develop talent across AP. This role requires strong leadership, data-driven decision making, and ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Proven success in investigative asset protection and security procedures with prior AP leadership experience.
• Experience with exception-based reporting tools and case management software.
• Ability to build productive relationships with employees and leaders.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with surveillance technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead AP strategy and supervise store AP teams.
• Develop relationships with Store Manager, Service Experience, Inventory Accuracy and HR.
• Own building security and safety; train staff on emergency preparedness.
• Monitor reports; ensure AP incidents are documented.
• Use data to identify theft trends and reduce loss.
• Execute shrink program and directives; detect theft and dishonesty.
• Lead with hiring and developing talent for investigations and controls.
• Leverage reporting to identify risks and maximize profitability.
