Job summary

Nordstrom is seeking a Manager of Asset Protection to supervise AP teams in-store, partner with cross-functional leaders, and execute the company shrinkage reduction strategy. You will focus on safety, theft prevention, and protecting profitability while aligning with Nordstrom values and business goals.

The role requires strong investigative and security leadership, experience with reporting tools, and the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Proven success in investigative, asset protection, and security procedures, plus AP leadership experience.
• Ability to develop and maintain productive relationships with employees and leaders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong decision making, problem solving, and prioritization in high-stress situations.
• Proficiency with monitoring and surveillance technologies and related tools.
• High ownership, accountability, and initiative, with flexible scheduling as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example and execute the organizational strategy set by the AP Division.
• Develop relationships with Store Manager, Service Experience, Inventory Accuracy and HR.
• Own building security and safety, emergency preparedness, and incident response.
• Monitor reports to ensure AP incidents are properly documented.
• Drive shrink reduction through data analysis and trend identification.
• Lead execution of shrink program and loss-prevention directives.
• Hire and develop talent for investigations, auditing, and AP awareness programs.
• Be data-driven to identify risks and maximize profitability.
