Job summary

Lowe's Loss Prevention role in Newington, CT is seeking a proactive associate to coach staff on shrink awareness and theft deterrence while partnering with leadership on trends. You will help deliver excellent customer service and maintain a secure store environment using surveillance tools.

Responsibilities include investigations, evidence gathering, and supporting law enforcement, along with responding to alarms and improving audit outcomes. Relevant licenses and education enhance candidacy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• Licensing exam within 60 days if state/local requirements apply.
• Experience in retail investigations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coach associates and leaders on shrink awareness and theft deterrence.
• Partner with Store and AP Leadership to identify theft trends and promote awareness.
• Deliver SMART customer service and ensure resources are available.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and secure store environment with monitoring.
• Monitor activity with surveillance and tools to detect theft and policy violations.
• Conduct external theft apprehensions and interviews per laws and policy.
• Investigate and resolve criminal activity and support law enforcement.
• Assist in internal investigations and provide evidence when needed.
• Validate store security measures and respond to triggers.
• Provide feedback on audits and minimize shrink and risk.
• Respond to potentially violent situations with safety and composure.
