Job summary

Nordstrom, Inc. is seeking an experienced Manager of Asset Protection to supervise AP teams, manage budget, and execute the store's shrinkage reduction strategy.

You will partner with cross-functional store leaders to safeguard employees, customers, and assets while aligning with company values. Responsibilities include leading by example, building relationships with store leadership, owning safety and security, and using data to identify trends and reduce loss.

Qualifications

• A valid security license is required for this role in specified locations.
• Proven success in investigative, asset protection, and security procedures with prior AP leadership experience.
• Knowledge of Exception Based Reporting tools and Case Management Software.
• Ability to build productive relationships with employees and leaders.
• Strong clear and professional communication skills.
• Strong decision making and problem-solving in high-stress situations.
• Excellent written communication and delegation abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with monitoring and surveillance technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise Asset Protection teams per store strategy.
• Develop relationships with Store Manager, Service Experience, Inventory Accuracy and HR.
• Own building security and employee safety, educating on emergency preparedness.
• Monitor reports to ensure AP incidents are properly documented.
• Use data to identify trends and reduce theft and loss.
• Lead shrink program execution and detect theft/dishonesty issues.
• Hire and develop talent for investigations, audits, shortage reduction and AP awareness.
• Be data-driven to mitigate risks and maximize profitability.
