Job summary

Belk, Inc. is seeking an Asset Protection Lead to support store objectives, reduce shortages, and protect profitability.

This hourly role leads process improvements and ensures policy compliance while promoting a culture of teamwork, collaboration, trust, and accountability. You will analyze incidents, coordinate with store leadership and local law enforcement as needed, train associates, and maintain data security.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of retail experience, AP experience preferred.
• Ability to identify theft, fraud, and dishonesty and report incidents.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ownership, accountability, and initiative to achieve store objectives and key metrics.
• Support proactive shortage reduction by identifying and preventing incidents and ensuring communication of policies.
• Assist with incidents and ensure proper protocol documentation and reporting.
• Lead awareness training, data security compliance, and AP system use.
• Communicate daily goals and model teamwork-focused behaviours.
• Enhance AP knowledge by onboarding, teaching opportunities, and ongoing learning.
• Maintain confidentiality and support business continuity and investigations.
• Adapt to changing circumstances and reallocate resources as needed.
• Build strong relationships with local law enforcement for case resolution.
• Ensure store systems run smoothly and report outages or safety concerns.
