Job summary

Belk is seeking a Store Asset Protection Lead to partner with the Store Manager and AP Manager to drive shortage reduction and protect profitability. The role focuses on investigations, training, and implementing AP programs in the assigned store, with emphasis on compliance and data security.

You will work to deter theft, report incidents, and help build strong relationships with law enforcement while supporting a safe, efficient shopping environment for our customers and associates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years in retail, security, or military.
• 1+ year Asset Protection experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Experience with exception reporting and analytical tools.
• LPC or LPQ certification is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in protecting store profitability and shortage control programs; partner with AP leadership.
• Investigate shortage, theft and related incidents; document and report.
• Train store associates on AP processes and safety.
• Maintain relationships with law enforcement; ensure data security in-store.
• Oversee security systems operations and report operability issues.
