Job summary

Belk is seeking an Asset Protection Associate to help reduce shortages and safeguard company assets in-store. The role focuses on investigations and preventing internal and external AP incidents, while promoting policy knowledge and safe, compliant operations.

Responsibilities include monitoring activities, documenting incidents, collaborating with local law enforcement, educating store teams, and maintaining confidentiality to support business continuity and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Monitor store activity through observation, camera systems, and floor walks to identify and prevent theft, fraud, and dishonesty.
• Assist with internal, external, and organized retail crime incidents and document all incidents.
• Provide leadership with reviewing documentation used in investigations.
• Build relationships with local law enforcement to support case resolution.
• Educate store team in asset protection and safety programs to enhance compliance.
• Report outages, risks, or safety concerns with store systems promptly.
