Job summary

JCPenney is seeking an Asset Protection Specialist to observe activities, collect evidence, and report suspected theft across stores. You will conduct investigations, interview customers and contractors, and support store leadership with safety and incident response.

Travel to designated stores as needed, participate in audits, and help maintain a safe shopping environment. Requires 1+ year in retail AP/security and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• 1+ years retail work experience / Asset Protection / Security or equivalent leadership experience / education preferred.
• Must be age 18+.

Responsibilities

• Observe activities to detect theft, fraud, or suspicious activity; collect investigative evidence using CCTV and observations from the sales floor.
• Execute required Company investigation routines to identify and resolve theft and document all stages.
• Conduct external interviews with customers and contractors suspected of theft.
