Job summary

JCPenney seeks a dedicated Asset Protection professional to detect theft, conduct investigations, and report findings to store leadership. You will gather evidence, interview customers, and coordinate with law enforcement as needed.

Qualifications

• 1+ years retail work experience in Asset Protection/Security or equivalent leadership experience/education preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent work experience; AA/BA/BS in Criminal Justice or Business Management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Observe activities to detect theft, fraud, or suspicious activity and collect investigative evidence.
• Execute required investigation routines and document all stages.
• Conduct external interviews with customers and contractors suspected of theft.
• Report suspected fraud and policy infractions to AP or Store leadership.
• Collect, maintain, and dispose of evidence and records for investigations.
• Travel to stores as needed and attend court hearings when required.
• Analyze intelligence on individuals and booster groups involved in theft.
