Job summary

JCPenney is seeking an Asset Protection specialist to observe activities on the sales floor, collect evidence, and execute investigations to deter theft and fraud. You will document findings and report to store leadership while coordinating with AP leadership and law enforcement when needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ year retail experience or Asset Protection/Security leadership preferred.
• AA/BA/BS in Criminal Justice or Business Management preferred.
• Must be 18+ years old.

Responsibilities

• Observe activities to detect theft, fraud, or suspicious activity and collect investigative evidence.
• Execute company investigation routines and document all stages of the process.
• Conduct external interviews with customers and contractors suspected of theft.
• Report suspected fraud and policy infractions to AP and store leadership.
• Attend court hearings as required and coordinate with law enforcement.
