Job summary

JCPenney is seeking an Asset Protection professional to observe and deter theft, execute investigations, and document all stages of cases. The role includes external interviews with suspicious customers and contractors, reporting incidents to AP and store leadership, and coordinating with law enforcement when required.

Qualifications

• Observes activities to detect theft, fraud, or suspicious activity.
• Executes required Company investigation routines to identify and resolve theft, and documents all stages.
• Conducts external interviews with customers and contractors suspected of theft in accordance with local laws and policy.
• Performs reporting of suspected fraud and policy infractions to AP and Store leadership.

Responsibilities

• Collects investigative evidence using CCTV and floor observations.
• Maintains records for apprehensions, witness statements, and disposition of recovered merchandise.
• Attends court hearings and coordinates with local law enforcement as needed.
• Travels to stores as necessary and analyzes intelligence on theft networks.
