Job summary

JCPenney in Kissimmee, FL is seeking an Asset Protection Associate to observe activities for theft detection and to support investigations. You will document apprehensions, conduct interviews, and report findings to AP leadership.

Travel to designated stores may be required as part of risk assessments and loss prevention efforts. Requires 1+ years of retail or security experience and a HS diploma; college education is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1+ years retail work experience or Asset Protection/Security or equivalent leadership experience/education preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent; higher education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Observes activities to detect theft and fraud; collects investigative evidence per policy.
• Executes investigation routines to identify and resolve theft and properly documents all stages.
• Conducts external interviews with customers and contractors suspected of theft.
• Reports suspected fraud and policy infractions to AP and store leadership.
• Creates and manages records for apprehension, statements, evidence, and disposition of merchandise.
• Collects evidence and may serve as interview witness for internal investigations.
• Identifies potential acts of theft and fraud by observing activity and reports.
