Job summary

Truist is seeking an experienced professional to supervise and perform commercial mortgage loan administration duties, focusing on collateral and loan documentation. You will support borrower requests, underwrite modifications, releases, and extensions, and ensure accurate accounting and reporting for complex real estate portfolios.

You will review operating statements, conduct property inspections, and coordinate with borrowers and property managers to ensure timely, compliant loan servicing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and related training.
• Five years of experience with commercial real estate, with at least three of those years being with finance.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel, occasionally overnight.
• Ability to efficiently and consistently produce accurate work.
• Strong working knowledge of loan accounting concepts, including interest accrual methodologies and amortization.
• Ability to read and comprehend most provisions of common commercial real estate loan documents.
• Ability to efficiently compose accurate and effective reports and written recommendations to lenders.
• Intermediate-level skills with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Basic-level skills with Adobe Acrobat.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently produce analyses of operating statements for commercial properties and sponsors, including variance research and adjustments.
• Conduct property inspections to verify collateral maintenance and report life safety issues; transmit reports promptly.
• Analyze, underwrite, and make recommendations on borrower requests (modifications, releases, extensions); approve fund releases per policy.
• Analyze and support releases of funds from reserve accounts, ensuring alignment with policy.
• Assist in processing insurance loss claims and disposition of insurance proceeds within policy limits.
• Interface with property managers and borrowers to collect delinquencies and prepare demand letters and notices of default.
• Maintain loan servicing system data accurately and review related work.
• Identify borrower breaches, mentor staff, and report watch list findings.
• Analyze asset performance and contribute to loan risk grading and presentations.
• Supervise Asset Analysts and assist in process improvements and regulatory compliance.
