Job summary

Truist Wealth is seeking an experienced Loan Administrator for commercial mortgage loan duties, focusing on collateral. The role includes supervising analysts, processing borrower requests, and ensuring compliance with loan covenants and lender requirements.

The position requires a bachelor's degree (MBA preferred), five years in CRE finance, and strong proficiency in Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat. Travel may be required; excellent communication and report-writing skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and related training.
• Five years of experience with commercial real estate, with at least three years in finance.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel, occasionally overnight.
• Ability to efficiently and consistently produce accurate work.
• Strong working knowledge of loan accounting concepts, including interest accrual methodologies and amortization.
• Ability to read and comprehend provisions of common commercial real estate loan documents.
• Ability to compose accurate and effective reports and written recommendations to lenders.
• Intermediate-level skills with Excel and Word.
• Basic-level skills with Adobe Acrobat.

Responsibilities

• Perform analyses of operating statements for commercial income‑producing properties.
• Review, correct and approve operating statement analyses.
• Inspect property collateral to verify maintenance and report life-safety issues.
• Prepare and transmit reports to lenders per deadlines.
• Analyze and underwrite borrower requests including loan modifications and collateral releases.
• Approve release of funds within policy limits and process reserve withdrawals.
• Support processing of insurance loss claims and disposition of proceeds.
• Mentor and train department staff in loan covenant interpretation and compliance.
