Job summary

The Low Income Housing Institute (LIHI) is hiring an Asset Manager in Seattle to safeguard and enhance the portfolio of housing assets. You will work with management, maintenance, and facilities teams to ensure physical assets are well maintained and financially optimized.

Strong communication and writing skills are essential. Responsibilities include capital planning, budgeting, risk management, energy performance, and reporting to executive leadership.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of asset management experience or related field.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of fair housing, real estate finance, property management, and real estate development.
  • Excellent writer and verbal communicator, able to communicate in English.

Responsibilities

  • Work with site and facilities staff to address maintenance concerns and develop routine preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Oversee capital improvement projects including budgeting, bids, contractor selection, and documentation.
  • Monitor energy usage, conduct energy audits/retrofits, and report on benchmarking results.
  • Provide regular reports to senior management on asset management activities.
  • Participate in the budget process for all properties and assist with property workouts.
