Job summary

The Low Income Housing Institute (LIHI) in Seattle, WA, is seeking an Associate Director of Housing Development to lead and supervise multiple affordable housing projects from feasibility to hand-off. You will work with the Housing Development Director to manage development stages, secure funding, supervise staff, and collaborate with partners to advance LIHI’s mission of affordable housing.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree and at least five years of experience in affordable housing

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree is required.
  • A Master's Degree may substitute for one year of experience depending on area of study.
  • Minimum five years of direct experience with affordable housing development.
  • Experience with affordable housing finance, including LIHTC.
  • Excellent presentation, written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to perform detailed financial analyses of housing developments.

Responsibilities

  • Researches new project opportunities.
  • Oversees all stages of affordable housing development.
  • Secures funding for development.
  • Conducts feasibility studies and pro-forma projections.
  • Develops budgets and reports.
  • Writes project applications and secures resources for development.
  • Oversees scheduling and budget management.
  • Collaborates with funders, government agencies and partners.
  • Mentors and develops staff.
