Job summary

The Low Income Housing Institute (LIHI) in Seattle seeks an Associate Director of Housing Development to lead multiple affordable housing projects from feasibility to hand‑off. You will supervise staff, coordinate with design teams, and ensure delivery on time and within budget.

This exempt leadership role requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least five years in affordable housing development (Master’s may substitute).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Five+ years of direct experience in affordable housing development.
• Experience with LIHTC financing preferred.
• Excellent presentation, written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to perform detailed financial analyses of developments.

Responsibilities

• Lead stages of affordable housing development from feasibility through construction and hand-off.
• Supervise staff and coordinate with architects, engineers, and consultants.
• Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and funding strategies.
• Cultivate relationships with funders, government agencies, and community partners.
• Represent LIHI before government bodies and community groups.
