Job summary

The State of New Hampshire, Department of Transportation, Bureau of Turnpikes, seeks a Civil Engineer IV to develop and manage the Bureau’s asset management program, covering pavements, bridges, drainage, and related infrastructure. The role includes data analysis, reporting, and coordination with internal and external groups to meet asset goals.

Minimum qualifications include an engineering degree with 4 years of experience or an 8-year equivalent, and PE licensure.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 4 years of experience OR equivalent combination of 8 years of education and experience after completion of high school.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in NH or another state; licensure Civil/Civil Highway engineering.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Applicant’s Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) must meet minimum standards established by the hiring agency.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and documents Turnpike Asset Management program following department guidelines.
  • Oversees tracking, reporting and communication of Turnpike Asset Management program to management and stakeholders.
  • Evaluates and implements asset management program for efficiency; recommends changes.
  • Analyzes data and creates reports reflecting past, current and future asset management status.
  • Field reconnaissance for Turnpike assets including location, type, and condition.
  • Plans and evaluates computer programs (GIS/ESRI) to support Asset Management.
  • Coordinates training for data input and participates in Asset Management committees.
