The State of New Hampshire, Department of Transportation, Bureau of Highway Design, seeks a Highway Design Project Manager to lead engineering teams in the design of highway and bridge projects.

The role requires PE licensure and a civil engineering degree (or MBA with an engineering background), plus years of post-license experience. Responsibilities include coordinating public meetings, contract administration, and policy guidance in a dynamic state DOT setting.

Qualifications

• Master’s in engineering or MBA with engineering background.
• Bachelor’s in engineering (with or without MBA) as alternative.
• PE licensure and civil engineering expertise required.

Responsabilités

• Manages multi-disciplinary engineering teams during design phase of highway and bridge projects.
• Represents NH DOT at public meetings, hearings, and discussions with officials and the public.
• Administers consulting agreements, authorizes payments, negotiates amended fees.
• Provides coverage in absence of Bureau Administrator or Chief Project Manager.
• Advises Commissioners and Directors on department policies and programs.
• Coordinates to ensure consistent interpretation and enforcement of policy.
• Advises Construction on design-phase commitments during construction.
• Seals and signs design documents per policy.
