Job summary

The State of New Hampshire seeks a Chief of Pavement Management in Concord to lead the statewide pavement program, set policy for pavements, and guide annual preservation and resurfacing plans. You will oversee contract development, data collection, and budget recommendations for pavement funding.

Requires PE licensure, relevant civil engineering experience, and a strong background in pavement design concepts, data analysis, and written communication.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in civil engineering or Bachelor’s in civil engineering with MBA.
• PE licensure with civil engineering designation and a valid driver’s license.
• Seven years of experience in a related engineering field for the role or related criteria.

Responsibilities

• Administers pavement design and management programs for statewide highway pavements.
• Coordinates input and reporting of pavement conditions to asset management systems.
• Develops budgets and prescribes contracts and treatments for statewide pavement projects.
• Represents the department at conferences on pavement asset management and design.
• Oversees data acquisition for pavement distress, ride quality, and retro-reflectivity.
